Story
The Whiskey Sour is a classic American cocktail that dates back to the 1860s. It was a popular drink among miners during the Gold Rush in California. The original recipe called for whiskey, lemon juice, and a sweetener such as sugar or honey. The addition of egg white for a frothy texture became popular in the early 20th century.
