Method
Fill a mixing glass with ice. Add gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari. Stir until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange twist.
Story
The Negroni is a classic Italian cocktail that was created in Florence in 1919. The story goes that Count Camillo Negroni asked a bartender to strengthen his favorite cocktail, the Americano, by replacing the soda water with gin. The bartender also added an orange twist instead of the traditional lemon twist, and the Negroni was born.
