Heritage

Established in 1891 by Giulio Cocchi in Asti, Piedmont, this vermouth represents one of the original recipes of Vermouth di Torino. The house style was developed during Italys golden age of vermouth production, when Turin became renowned for its aromatic wines. The recipe has remained unchanged for over a century, preserving its historical significance in cocktail culture.

Production Method

Created using a Moscato wine base from the hills of Asti, enhanced with carefully selected botanicals including cinchona bark, citrus peel, rhubarb, and a precise blend of local herbs. The production involves a complex infusion process where herbs and spices are steeped individually before being masterfully blended. Natural caramel provides its characteristic amber color.

Flavor Profile

Rich and complex aromatics feature prominent notes of cocoa, citrus, and rhubarb. The palate displays a perfect balance of bitter and sweet, with dark chocolate, orange zest, and cola notes complemented by vanilla and exotic spices. A distinctive eucalyptus note emerges alongside rich stone fruits and a subtle earthiness from cinchona bark.

Serving Suggestions

Traditional serving methods include enjoying it neat, on the rocks, or as a key component in classic cocktails like the Negroni, Manhattan, and Boulevardier. The vermouth can also be served as an aperitif with a splash of soda water and an orange slice. Its versatility and complexity make it a favorite among mixologists and vermouth enthusiasts.
