Tanqueray No. TEN
History
Launched in 2000, Tanqueray No. TEN was created by Master Distiller Tom Nichol. It was the first ultra-premium gin specifically created for the martini cocktail and named after the 'Tiny Ten' still used in its production. It revolutionized the super-premium gin category and has won numerous awards since its inception.
Manufacturing Method
Distilled four times in the small No. 10 still, using whole fresh citrus fruits (grapefruits, oranges, and limes) rather than dried peels. The botanical mixture includes juniper, coriander, licorice, chamomile flowers, and white grapefruit, among others. Each botanical is distilled separately before being blended.
Origin
Produced at Cameron Bridge Distillery in Scotland, though the brand's heritage is deeply rooted in London, where Charles Tanqueray first established his distillery in 1830.
Taste Profile
Exceptionally smooth with prominent fresh citrus notes, particularly grapefruit and orange. The juniper is present but balanced, while chamomile adds a gentle floral complexity. The finish is clean and refined with subtle hints of white pepper and lime. 47.3% ABV.
