Sur
History
Sur Gin was launched in 2018 by the Patagonian Spirits company. It was created to showcase the unique botanical heritage of Argentine Patagonia, becoming one of the first gins to truly represent the region's terroir in spirit form.
Manufacturing Method
Produced using a copper pot still with a unique combination of 12 botanicals, including native Patagonian ingredients. The base spirit is made from local wheat, and botanicals are both macerated and vapor-infused. Key botanicals include elderberry, maqui berry, and rosa mosqueta (wild rose hip) alongside traditional gin ingredients.
Origin
Crafted in Argentine Patagonia, specifically in the Chubut Province. The distillery sources local botanicals from the Andean region and coastal areas of Patagonia.
Taste Profile
Presents a fresh, crisp profile with pronounced juniper and citrus notes upfront. The palate experiences distinct wild berry notes, particularly elderberry and maqui, followed by floral undertones from rosa mosqueta. The finish is clean with subtle herbal notes and a hint of pepper. 40% ABV.
