1792 Full Proof

History

1792 Bourbon, named after the year Kentucky became a state, was introduced in 2002 by the Barton 1792 Distillery. The Full Proof expression was launched in 2016, bottled at its original entry proof to showcase the bourbon's full character.

Manufacturing Method

Uses a high-rye mashbill composed of corn, rye, and malted barley. The bourbon is aged in new, charred American oak barrels and bottled at its entry proof of 125 (62.5% ABV), meaning no water is added after barrel aging. The barrels are stored in unique Barton 1792's ridge-top warehouses.

Origin

Produced at the Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, USA. The distillery, established in 1879, uses limestone-filtered water from Tom Moore Spring.

Taste Profile

Bold and powerful with strong vanilla and caramel notes upfront. The high rye content provides robust spice and pepper notes, while the full proof bottling maintains intense oak, chocolate, and dried fruit flavors. The finish is long and warm with layers of spice and char. 125 proof (62.5% ABV).
