Rebel Yell 10

History

Originally created by W.L. Weller & Sons in Louisville, Kentucky, Rebel Yell was established in 1849. The brand was revived post-Prohibition by the Stitzel-Weller Distillery. The 10-year expression was introduced in 2016 as a premium offering in the lineup.

Manufacturing Method

Produced using a wheated bourbon mashbill of corn, wheat, and malted barley. The spirit is aged for 10 years in new, charred American oak barrels. The barrels are stored in single-story warehouses, allowing for consistent aging conditions. Each batch is hand-selected and bottled individually.

Origin

Currently distilled at Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, Kentucky, USA, though the brand has historical connections to both the Stitzel-Weller and Heaven Hill distilleries.

Taste Profile

Rich and full-bodied with prominent honey and butter notes. The palate experiences vanilla, caramel, and dried fruits, complemented by subtle oak spice. The wheat mashbill provides a smooth, sweet character, while the 10-year aging adds depth and complexity. Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).
